FAQ

Common questions about China–US ocean freight, customs clearance, FBA delivery and overseas warehousing.

What does dual customs clearance with tax included mean?+
Dual clearance means AUASIAN handles both sides of customs: export declaration in China and import clearance in the US. Tax-inclusive means the quoted rate already covers duties and taxes on covered lanes, so you don't receive separate customs bills at destination. Commercial or residential addresses outside standard FBA delivery are quoted separately.
What is the difference between 9810 and 0110 customs declaration?+
9810 is the cross-border e-commerce export mode for goods stocked in overseas warehouses (e.g. Amazon FBA, independent stores); goods returned to China within one year can be exempted from duty under applicable rules. 0110 is standard general trade import with 13% VAT plus duty. As the company that completed the first batch 9810 declaration in the Xiamen customs district in 2020, we advise the correct mode per shipment.
How do FBA and Temu/TikTok Shop warehouse deliveries work?+
After import clearance, our own trucking fleet delivers palletized cargo to your FBA warehouse with a real, verified appointment. For Temu and TikTok Shop warehouses, delivery follows each platform's inbound requirements; we confirm the appointment and labeling rules before dispatch. From our US warehouses we can also transload, relabel or hold stock before final delivery.
How can I track my shipment?+
Every stage is traceable: pickup, container loading, vessel departure, port arrival, container pickup and warehouse delivery. Our head-office system supports shipment routing tracking, and you can verify appointments with your bill of lading number. Ask your AUASIAN contact for tracking updates at any milestone.
How does compensation work if something goes wrong?+
When a special situation is confirmed as a logistics-side liability, we compensate within 3-5 working days in line with our service terms, which helps keep your cash flow stable. Air-freight lost goods are handled through the declared-value insurance process with the carrier.
What kinds of goods can you ship?+
Our ocean channels accept general cargo as standard; battery products are accepted with an MSDS and a sea transport appraisal. Textiles, shoes, crafts and bags include surcharges in the quoted rate. Some categories (pens, food, controlled knives, liquids and similar) require case-by-case confirmation. The FBA Air Express Line accepts general cargo only — no battery or magnetic products.
How is chargeable weight calculated?+
Ocean channels bill on the greater of actual weight and volume weight, calculated at 1 CBM = 167 KG (heavy cargo 1 CBM = 363 KG). Standard minimum is 100KG+; 21-100KG shipments are accepted with a small-goods surcharge. Air freight uses 1 CBM = 167 KG with a 21KG minimum, and oversize surcharges apply for single pieces at or above 22.5KG or 68KG and for pieces at or above 274cm length or 330cm girth.
Which FBA warehouses do your channels cover?+
Matson and Hede/ZIM channels cover LA/Ontario-area codes as standard with a Chicago routing for Midwest codes; the COSCO economy channel covers LA and New York; the NY Slow Line covers NY/NJ and Northeast codes such as TEB, ABE, TTN, ACY and PHL clusters; the US-to-Canada transfer covers East-Canada codes including the Greater Toronto Area.
What packaging do you require?+
Ocean shipments must be packed in rectangular, transport-grade cartons that meet carrier requirements. For certain Canadian FBA codes, Amazon requires pallets to be labeled by SKU — we handle SKU-level pallet labeling before the truck leg. Oversized or non-standard pieces are quoted separately.
Can I store goods in your US warehouses before shipping to FBA?+
Yes. Our self-operated warehouses in Los Angeles, Chicago and New Jersey support transit stocking, relabeling, dropshipping and customized services such as product inspection, sourcing, US returns handling and exception interception. The warehouses have 5,000+ m² of space, 8 dock doors and process around 5,000 parcels per day.
